Florida Financial Institute Inc. (FFI) was founded October 1, 1987 is celebrating more than 30 years in business this year. After moving to Florida and getting both a Florida real estate brokers license and a Florida Auctioneers license Anthony Mansolillo realized there was a gap in the finance industry, the inability to get the tougher deals done, investors and others who do not fit the government prescription as “the borrower” and the government, as we all know controls all aspics of lending. There were just no creative people in the lending business here in Florida.
Drawing on his back ground with Fleet Financial of Boston and later on his association with Heath Financial of Boston, Mansolillo set out to get a Florida Mortgage Brokers license. And later when new legislation passed the Federal Originators license (all license listed below) and start a progressive company that served all the financial needs.
In the early days FFI offered a sundry of government products like all others and slowly added Small Business Administration Lending, Department of Agricultural Lending, commercial and investor lending. We not only financed single family homes but also entire businesses and medical practices. Finally with the residential debacle of the last decade there grew a new money making vehicle known as the fix and flip. This created a whole new need for liquidity. FFI rose to the occasion by partnering with major Wall Street players to be at the fore front of fix and flip lending. Today we have we offer products from as small as a 70K to developer one hundred million dollar lines of credit for purchasing Fix and Flip products.
