The Peoria Hiway Credit Union is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution. It was founded in 1951 by a group of young engineers employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation, District 4. Membership is open to any employee, retiree or family member of such, of the Illinois Department of Transportation or the Department of Central Management Services, District 4, and all other state employees assigned to functional duties at the Peoria District office or its maintenance satellites as well as family members of current members.

We are located in the IDOT Traffic Operations Building in Peoria, IL. Our credit union is a non-cash operating office; you can bring cash to deposit or to make payments, but we will not give out cash. All withdrawals or loan proceeds are disbursed by check. Our staff has over 40 years combined experience working in financial institutions, including a certification in financial counseling. We are a credit union family and stand ready to help you on the road to paving your financial goals!
