Midland Community Bank is a full-service community bank serving the residents of Christian and Sangamon Counties. Some of the communities served are Kincaid, Tovey, Bulpitt, Taylorville, Edinburg, Pawnee and Springfield.
In 1966, a group of local businessmen and residents began the process to organize a community bank to serve the Midland area. In 1968 the organizers were successful in obtaining a State of Illinois Charter that allowed for the opening of a bank, which became Midland Community Bank.
With the opening of the bank, came a tradition of local ownership and a dedication to providing financial support for our community’s progress, striving to build one-on-one relationships to better serve the needs of the county seat and surrounding communities.
In 1984 the Board of Directors recognized the need for an additional office in the Taylorville marketplace. In November 1984, the Taylorville Branch was opened to serve the needs of that community.
Management and staff are proud of the bank’s heritage. Step into either of our lobbies and experience a natural friendliness that comes from being a true community bank. It is all about Hometown Service and Hometown Employees.
On behalf of the Shareholders, Board of Directors, Officers and Employees of Midland Community Bank we invite you to give us a try. We are confident you will experience the difference and realize that "The Midland" should be your financial partner.
