Incorporated in May 1955, BSE Credit Union's founding members were 13 employees of the Berea City Schools. They were dedicated to the principle of members helping members. These educators envisioned an alternative to banks and savings and loans, which would provide accessible and personal financial services to its members.
From its modest beginnings in a small Berea office building, BSE Credit Union has steadily grown to an asset base of over 10 million dollars. In 1971, we expanded our membership to include other employers, organizations, groups and associations throughout the area. We currently can provide services to anyone who lives, works, attends school or church anywhere in Middleburg Heights, Berea, Brook Park, Olmsted Falls or Olmsted Township.
In order to better serve our members, we purchased a building in 1977. Its convenient location on Bagley Road has easy access from I-71 allowing our membership to grow. With more space available, we were able to expand our services to members
