Lone Star Ag Credit, a rural lending cooperative headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, is one of the most experienced rural real estate and agricultural lenders in the state. We operate 16 offices covering 48 counties throughout north and central Texas and have $1.7 billion in assets. We are proud to have paid two record years of patronage dividends to our borrower-owners, with a total of $141.5 million distribution returned since 2000.
Established in 1917 as part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, Lone Star Ag Credit has maintained long-standing traditions of independence, strength, stability and service in meeting the financing needs of our customers. For many years, Lone Star Ag Credit focused solely on financing farms and ranches. In fact, back in 1917, we made the very first Farm Credit land loan in Texas.
In early 2014, Long Star Ag Credit merged with Texas Land Bank, another financially strong Farm Credit association that has served rural Texans since 1917.
