Mr. Jack Lanier is considered to be the founder of the Credit Union. He served on the Board of Directors from 1946-1978. Some of the original board members include Mrs. Electa Bahm, Mrs. Helen Bankston, Mrs. Alice Bickford, Mrs. Helen Brumfield, Mr. L.C. Catha, Mr. Jack Lanier, Mrs. Evelyn Courtney, Mr. L.H. Martin, Mrs. Sadie McMichael, Mrs. Heloise Raacke, Mrs. Melva Walker, Mrs. Dixie Woodall, Mrs. Amy Morgan, and Mr. W.E. Walker. Mr. W. E. Walker was the first President of the Credit Union. He served from 1946-1956. After Mr. Walker’s term expired, Mr. Jack Lanier was elected President. He served as the Credit Union’s President from 1957-1976 or nineteen years.
