New Pilgrim Federal Credit Union was established in 1965 as an outreach ministry for members of New Pilgrim Baptist Church designed to meet the basic financial services needs of the congregation. The church is an established institution in Birmingham, Alabama organized in December 1900. After serving the membership for twenty years, the credit union expanded its field of membership in 1985 to cover New Pilgrim Day Care employees. The credit union has become a component in providing the basic financial needs of these groups and their immediate family members.
