Our employees volunteer their time and money to local charities, including Rebuilding Together® Montgomery County and the Susan G. Komen® Race for the Cure. As a collective group, we are proud to support our community with a regular volunteer shift at Miriam’s Kitchen in Washington DC. We partner with our business customers to create change and drive improvement in our communities.

Congressional Bank also focuses on being a Certified Green Business in Montgomery County. Through our efforts we became the first bank to earn the Montgomery County Green Business Certification, and we are partners with Bethesda Green in their efforts to promote sustainability and be a “green” role model.
Most recently, we have made sweeping changes in each of our branches to help preserve and protect our environment, including creating a sustainability policy to outline our recycling efforts and eliminating plastic water bottles and replacing them with reusable tumblers and filtered water. However, in the event we require a hard copy, our printers default to print double-sided. Our commitment to the environment goes beyond the Bank. We encourage our customers and associates to reduce paper waste by signing up for e-statements and online bill pay.
