Glass Cap Federal Credit Union is a non-profit financial institution owned and operated by its members. Our sole purpose is to assist our members in sound management of their financial affairs by offering the best service and products at the lowest possible cost.
Glass Cap Federal Credit Union was first chartered in 1960. The Credit Union originally served the Anchor Hocking Glass and Cap plants in South Connellsville. After more than 50 years in business the Credit Union now includes over 15 payroll groups and serves over 4900 members with a variety of financial services.
Glass Cap Federal Credit Union is a member-owned and operated financial organization. Each member is an owner, saver, and potential borrower. Glass Cap Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial organization formed under the concept of "People Helping People".
Our objective is to grow in membership, assets, loans and shares at a managed, controlled rate. The current financial position of the credit union includes a sound Net Worth ratio, and our goal is to maintain that sound foundation as we grow and expand services.

Membership is open to persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in Fayette County and immediate family members.

Membership in Glass Cap includes all persons working at the above payroll groups including their immediate family members: i.e, spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, step-parents, step-children, step-siblings, and adoptions. Household members are also welcome to join and are described as people living in the same residence as a single economic unit.
