After many years as a successful building and loan, we changed our name in 1953 to Home Savings and Loan Association, having taken on more in the way of services to savers and borrowers. In 1988, we became Home Savings Bank to better reflect the broad range of services offered to our customers, including an emphasis on mortgage lending plus consumer and commercial loans, checking accounts, Certificates of Deposit and Individual Retirement Accounts. In 1994, we converted to a state chartered savings bank. In 2011 as Home Savings Bank, we officially changed our name to Hometown Bank to better align our name to the type of service we provide.
