On 1952 a small nucleus of people who were affiliated with the schools of Chaves County joined together in an effort to build upon a dream. This dream was initially a concept whereby the establishment of a credit union would afford the members an opportunity to accumulate their savings and to create for them, a source of credit for provident.


On November 20th, 1952 a small nucleus of people who were affiliated with the schools of Chaves County joined together in an effort to build upon a dream. This dream was initially a concept whereby the establishment of a credit union would afford the members an opportunity to accumulate their savings and to create for them, a source of credit for provident and productive purposes.

This dream was realized on December 9th, 1952 when the State Bank Examiner approved the creation of the Chaves County School Employees Credit Union. Since those early days, the Credit Union has experienced changes associated with growth, as confidence in the institution increased, with members continuing to invest their funds.
