CBC Mortgage Agency was formed in 2013 by the Cedar Band Corporation, a tribally owned enterprise wholly owned by the Cedar Band of Paiutes, with a goal to diversify the tribe’s business interest. Cedar Band Corporation operates 9 subsidiaries both on and off the reservation to promote economic self-sufficiency.
Through the Chenoa Fund™ program, CBC Mortgage Agency offers down payment assistance to creditworthy, low- to moderate income individuals. Our program is offered to all creditworthy individuals nationwide, excluding New York state. CBC Mortgage Agency partners with quality mortgage lenders on a correspondent basis.
CBC Mortgage Agency is dedicated to increasing homeownership in diverse communities. To date, we have assisted over 25, 000 borrowers with their down payment, of which 55% are minority and 75% are first-time homebuyers. To assist all our borrowers successfully transition to homeownership, we provide 18 months of post purchase counseling from a HUD-approved counseling agency.
