In 1931, a group of seventy-five farmers in Wabash County, Indiana joined together to form their own financial cooperative. This group of leaders'​ simple vision was to provide savings and dependable loan programs, particularly to farmers, in the area. Beacon Credit Union has remained a leader in serving the agricultural community.

Community State Bank came into existence in 1931 in the town of Avilla, Indiana. The organizers were mostly local merchants and farmers. Religious and civic leaders, recognizing the need for a local bank, entered into the movement. Community State Bank now has four locations in Avilla, Kendallville, Albion and Auburn.

Hometown FCU was started in August of 1936 by 33 Square D Company Employees contributing a total of $25. We moved from the Square D property in January 1989 and began serving Miami County in 1991. Our name changed from Square D Federal Credit Union to Hometown Federal Credit Union to better reflect our membership base.

State Bank of Defiance was founded in 1902 by Elbert E. Carter and rapidly grew into one of northwest Ohio’s leading financial institutions.

Our first bank was located on the southwest corner of Clinton and Third Streets in Defiance. And although the facility has been rebuilt over the years, that corner is still home to our Main Banking Center

Thrive Credit Union was founded in 1940 by the employees of Delco Battery. These employees joined together to establish a financial service dedicated to serving the hard working, faithful employees of Delco Battery and their families. Over the past 81 years, Thrive Credit Union has been a part of the Delaware County community.

Solidarity was started in 1954 by Delco Electronics employees pooling their funds together to help a co-worker purchase a car. They did this by placing a quarter a week in a cigar box until they had enough saved to buy the car. Thus, they started a not-for-profit cooperative called a "credit union.
